Thank you for your interest in learning more about our organization. It is my honor to serve as the 2016-2018 president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chapter. We are a chapter of 63 wonderful mothers unified by the goal of providing advantages for all children.
Founded in 1938, Jack and Jill of America Inc. is the oldest and largest African American family organization in the United States. It is an organization of mothers with children ages 2 – 19, dedicated to nurturing and strengthening leadership skills in our youth to become future leaders through leadership development, community service, philanthropic giving, and volunteerism.
The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chapter was chartered in 1964 at a time when our nation was entering a period of turmoil and change. Once again, we are entering a period of change and uncertainty in this nation. Now, more than ever we must set our sights on doing what is good and what is right. Our theme for the next two (2) years is “AIM High: For Our Children and For Our Communities.” I believe this theme captures how we should set our goals regarding all that we do.
With that, I invite you to explore this website to learn all about our local stars and the “But for Jack and Jill” programming of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chapter. We are poised with the Power to Make a Difference.
